Lo Vu (Live) + Thirdspace
Following the release of the debut EP Distill, Leeds based jazz and electronic collective Lo Vu put on their first ever show in the intimate setting of the Snug at Hyde Park Book Club.
Formed from the vibrant scene offered by the city of Leeds, Lo Vu is the project of guitarist and producer Ben Haskins. Featuring a collective of some of the best musicians from across the North, Lo Vu fosters close musical relationships and collaborations.
Following a career of touring with artists such as K.O.G, Jasmine Myra and Tetes De Pois, Haskins creates a fusion between the strong Jazz scene Leeds has boasted for so long now and the rich palate of British electronic music.
Featuring collaborations with some very close friends the debut EP ‘Distill’ offers eclectic sound drawing influence from house, breakbeat, jazz and west african music.

Thirdspace is the alias of London born, Leeds base multi instrumentalist Nick Richards. A founding member of the UK Jazz outfit Nubiyan Twist he has made heavy contributions to the scene for over a decade. Thirdspace sees Nick take centre stage as an electronic producer.
‘Thirdspace’, brings deeply soulful perspectives to the electronic world. Absorbing a myriad of club styles including House, Broken & Beats culture. All creating a perfect foundation for Nick’s individual expression as a saxophonist and vocalist.
His debut tracks, ’Black Vale' & 'Waters pt. 1 & 2’ debuted via Polytype Records (2023,Leeds) as part of their Polytypic one compilation. This was eagerly followed up by the ‘Beginning EP in 2024.
Turning heads with his live show he radiates Detroit sensibilities to hardware set ups and jazz derived instrumental improvisation - performing on the internationally renowned ‘Cosmic Slop’ sound system and a featuring on ‘In the Window’ video series.
Next release - Never Gonna Know EP, will be released 30th May.
