Offshoots joins Leeds Jazz Festival for a second year, bringing an interactive workshop from Charlotte Keeffe from 5:00-6:30pm, and an evening performance from Keeffe's RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW Quartet + supports (TBC) with doors from 7:30pm.

Charlotte Keeffe’s RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW Quartet is a breeding ground for squelchy, sploshy, splashy Music-making! Her passionate approach to freely improvising Music has been described by the UK’s biggest selling Jazz magazine, Jazzwise, as ‘avant garde for all!’

Her 2nd album, 'ALIVE! in the studio…’ (available on the Discus Music record label) received rave reviews and landed on several Best of 2023 Album Releases lists/charts, including Reader’s Digest Top Albums of 2023. From performing a duet with the mighty City of London as part of world-renowned trumpeter Dave Douglas' Festival of New Trumpet Music, to stepping onto Glastonbury and Wilderness stages alongside Laura Mvula, Kate Nash and Charlotte Church, to serving as Assistant Musical Director of the London Gay Big Band, championing gender and diversity equality as part of the Parliamentary award-winning Women in Jazz Media team, and playing in Marin Alsop's Taki Concordia Orchestra, Charlotte Keeffe understands that embracing individuality and letting go of inhibitions is the surest way to grasp the transformative power of Music! Previous RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW performances include; the Southbank Centre's Purcell Room, the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room, London Jazz Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival, Lancaster Jazz Festival, where she was Artist in Residence 2024, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Birmingham’s Symphony Hall and Fizzle concert series, Sheffield's Jazz at The Lescar, Cambridge's LISTEN!, Newcastle's Jazz North East program, as well as London's Café OTO, Jazz in the Round, Toulouse Lautrec, Karamel CLub, Spice of Life and more!

York/Leeds based improvisers Gaia Blandina (Cello) abd Iris Casling (Double Bass) offer a performance exploring the relationship between string instruments and space.
Inspired by the likes of Mortan Feldman and La Monte Young their playing blends experimental, classical and improvised modes.
