'The seasoned folk singer Paul Armfield moved to the Isle of Wight at the age of ten, where he now runs a bookshop. His 2015 album 'Found' was inspired by a treasure trove of old photographs, while 2020's Domestic matched ten of Armfield's own meticulously wrought linocuts of native plants to each track. Mark Radcliffe is a big fan (as are Elbow's Guy Garvey, Lauren Laverne and our own Caitlin Moran).’ The Times
Having spent the past 30 years balancing a career in bookselling with his sideline as a singer songwriter, Paul Armfield has finally reconciled the two worlds in an album of songs about books and reading. With his intimate baritone and warm stage presence, his renditions of these literate, witty songs, accompanied only by his guitar and musical saw will leave you completely charmed.
With support from Colour Of Light and a guest appearance by occasional Mekon/Waco Brother/Pretty Thing Barkley McKay
