JollyBassJones (cello, violin, piano) first started working together on Gemma Bass's Missing Pieces | part 2 (us) in 2024 and have performed that work across the country, culminating in a release by the same name on efpi records. With interests across classical, jazz, folk and experimental music, the trio work collaboratively and intuitively, avoiding and deconstructing preconceptions of what a piano trio should be. Between them, these three busy musicians have worked with Manchester Camerata, Beats and Pieces Big Band, Opera North, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Bonjour Claude, Efpi All Stars Orchestra, Emma Johnson's Gravy Boat and many more besides.
