A very merry Offshoots brings you a night of festive jazz music by Manchild Trio, Asher Freeman Quartet and Tincel.
We will be taking food donations for Rainbow Junktion! Free entry for those who bring food donations.
Rainbow Junktion is on a mission to fight food poverty, fight food waste and build community. They intercept food that would otherwise be thrown away from supermarkets, restaurants and a number of other sources, and turn it into healthy, nutritious meals for anyone and everyone on a pay-as-you-feel/can donation basis. They have a list of donations they are looking for regularly updated on their social media accounts.
Manchild started by paying tribute to their favourite artists such as Herbie Hancock and knower. Now they are busy recording their first album and are ready to take a break and pay tribute to Christmas.
The Asher Freeman Quartet is a vibrant straight-ahead jazz ensemble led by saxophonist Asher Freeman, blending jazz standards, original compositions, and lesser-known traditional pop tunes. With an emphasis on lyrical improvisation and expressive ensemble interplay, the group examines the straight-ahead tradition through a contemporary lens, creating a warm and colourful sound that is both fresh and familiar.
Nika Ticciati, Iris Casling, Beht Veasey and Scarlett Baxter are coming together for one gig to bring you a goofy festive punk as Tincel.
This event is supported by the Early Career Promoter Fund which is managed by PRS Foundation and funded by Arts Council England using Supporting Grassroots funding from DCMS.
